I don’t usually write a review unless the food is either really good or really bad. That being said, the chicken wings are the best wings I’ve ever had in my life. And they give you a really good amount of wings for the price it’s very fair compared to a lot of other places plus the quality??!?! Amazing. The staff is also really friendly and the place is super dope. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good food!!
I had the chicken gizzards, but I also tried my friends food. All of their fried chicken is incredible! The gizzards were pretty good as well. Service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere was not good, though. The place smelled weird, and the music was WAY too loud. It's worth it for the food, though!
We ordered yumyang, honey garlic chicken, and stir-fried glass noodles. The yumyang is genuinely delicious, while the honey garlic chicken has a nice taste and a strong honey flavor, but I wish it had more garlic flavor. The noodles are fantastic! Overall, it's a satisfying meal!
Amazing Honey Garlic Chicken Wings!! My friend and I had gone to a performance at Federal Way Performing Arts Center and wanted something to eat at 9PM before heading home to Seattle. A quick search of "Restaurants Open Near Me" put UnderGround at the top of the list and with a quick review of their reviews, I wanted to try them. Going downstairs truly put the subterranean feeling in the name! It was 80% filled for a Thursday night at 9:10P, so I thought that was a good sign. Quickly read their short menu, and ordered the Honey, Garlic chicken wings and Corn & cheese side. For $30 I was hoping for a good amount of wings and they didn't disappoint!! OMG, they were so sticky and finger licking good. The corn & cheese side was additional comfort food. My friend got the regular fried chicken wings - which were crispy and good. But compared to mine, not nearly as tasty. He wanted to steal mine! Um, no! They were very clearly just made - steamy hot and I had enough food for two complete meals. Who needs green vegetables? hahahaha. They were so good, I might just take a road trip to Federal Way for those damn wings! Great service, too. Atmosphere is very hole-in-the-wall; perfect for finger licking food!
They only had 2 servers when I visited Friday at 9 pm, the wait time was around 30-40 minutes. The food came out super fast and tasted delicious! I would recommend trying the creamy udon as well as the deep fried chicken gizards.
A little bit of an odd vibe, but the food was fantastic, I got the half and half chicken, wife got seafood udom, both of us were extremely happy. Special shout to their steamed dumplings those were midnight blowing. Would definitely be back again.
We ordered the chicken and udon pasta. Those are so yummy, and the vibe was so young. It was night time but still so busy. Servers were two boys, korean and white and they were so fun and kind. If you guys want to enjoy the food and young generation, this place will be good!
This location is really unique, located between a massage parlor and a hair salon, this place is like a korean fried chicken joint mixed with a speakeasy. Club-like atmosphere with dim lights and modern music bumpin. I ordered the fried chicken and it came with 10 pieces and was really solid. Bit expensive, at 22$ but perfect to share. Friend orders the bulgogi and liked it Didn’t get any drinks but the soju looked good. Service is slow Open till 12 so definitely a good late night spot with drinks and food
Underground Kitchen in Federal Way is a local gem, and their wings are seriously top-notch. We were a group of five and went for three wings, two sides, and a rice cake. The food was absolutely delicious, but we might hold off on the soy sauce wings next time because they were a tad dry. It was our second visit, and we didn’t miss a beat—the service was just a bit slow, especially when it came to getting our orders and the food. Still, it was a fantastic experience overall, and we’re definitely planning to return!
